A graveside service honoring the life of Eula Cason Whitten will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Old Sarepta Cemetery, 153 Old Sarepta Church Road, Sarepta, Louisiana. Pastor Josh Beshea of Minden Baptist Church will officiate the service. Visitation with the family will be held at 5:00 pm until 7:00 p.m., Wednesady, September 30, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana.
Eula Whitten was born October 15, 1932 in Sarepta, Louisiana to parents Leonard and Lila Cason and passed away peacefully surrounded by love Saturday, September 26, 2020 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Eula was a hard worker. For many years she could be found managing and greeting customers at Summer Point Landing restaurant. Most recently, she was the office manager at Riverside Roofing. A devout Christian, she attended Baptist Tabernacle, Mid-City Baptist Church and most recently, Minden Baptist Church where her beautiful voice could be heard singing in the church choir every Sunday. She will always be remembered for her love of singing and her love of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jami Hairston; son, Joey Scioneaux and brother, John Cason.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Whitten; children, Kenny Pharr and wife, Kaye, Karen Pharr Tharpe and husband, Roger, Jerry "Bo" Pharr and wife, Diane, Paul Scioneaux and wife, Veronica and Melissa Scioneaux Thomas and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Michael Pharr, Matt Pharr, Marcus Pharr, Corey Tharpe, Dustin Tharpe, Patrick Tharpe, Rachel Pharr, Gene Murphy and Taylor Hairston; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Emogene White, Elaine Baack, Louise Koske and Donna Davis; brother, David Cason; a host of nieces and nephews and special friends, Bill and Betsy Henderson.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her 11 grandsons.
