Evalene Baker Connor

SHREVEPORT, LA - Memorial services for Evalene Baker Connor, 62, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Evalene was born October 10, 1954 in Rayville, LA to Dewey Baker and Eloise Cook Baker, and passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from a sudden illness. Evalene was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She adored her grandbabies and enjoyed spending every moment she could with them. Evalene was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Eloise Baker. Left to treasure her memory are her husband of 23 years, Kevin Connor; son, Michael Connor; daughters, Kalli Kennedy Bailey and husband, Chris, and Kaitlyn Connor Jeansonne and husband, Jeremey; her precious grandchildren, Ellie Grace, Brooklynn Faith, and Lindyn Hope Jeansonne; brother, Johnny Baker and wife, Glenda; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. As well as her Christus-Highland family, where she worked for the last 43 years. Also are her beloved dogs, Max and Nick. Evalene touched so many lives and will be remembered for her sense of humor and witty personality. Honoring Evalene as honorary pallbearers will be, Michael Connor, Jeremey Jeansonne, Chris Bailey, Joey Preston, Brett Murray, Jared Jennings, Bill Parker, and Cody Booth. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to charity of donor's choice.
