Campti, LA - A funeral service celebrating the life of Evelyn Irmadine Bamburg, 81, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the United Baptist Church in Campti, LA with Brother Mike Honzell officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery in the Fairview community. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at the church located at 7687 LA Hwy. 9 in Campti, LA. Mrs. Bamburg was born on January 22, 1938 in Haynesville, LA to Lucy and John Hodges and passed away March 2, 2019 at her home in Campti, LA. She worked in Green Meadow Haven Nursing Home as an RN until her retirement. She opened a fabric store for a time in Campti, LA. She loved her animals but especially her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; all siblings; husbands, Bert Arden and Charles Glen Bamburg and daughter, Sheron Bamburg Mishell. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth Bamburg; great-grandson, Donnie Coleman whom lived with her; grandchildren, Jodie Wilson and husband, Kenneth, Kenneth Bamburg, Chasity Burley, Clayton Jones and fiancee', Laura Tyler; great-grandchildren, William Holman, Toby Conley, Robert Castello, Nicki Castello, Waylon Jones and Justin Jones; great-great-grandchild, Brayden Castello; and a very special best friend, Marie Walker. Pallbearers are Ray Anslem, Kenny Wilson, Toby Conley, Kenny Bamburg, Joey Jordan and Jacob McFarland. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Coleman, III and John Dunn.
