Evelyn JoAnn Powell

Funeral services honoring the life of Evelyn JoAnn Powell, 80, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Tull officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, LA. Visitation was held at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, LA on June 30, 2018 10:00 AM until time of service.   JoAnn was born on August 15, 1937 to Robert Roy Hunt and Pauline E. Hunt and entered into rest on June 27, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband John Robert Powell, Sr.   Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons John Robert Powell, Jr. and wife Susan and Alvin Lee Powell and wife Jennifer both of Mansfield, La along with her brother Eugene Hunt and wife Jackie of Conroe, Texas.   Honoring the life of JoAnn as pallbearers will be David Caston, Robert Springer, Mark Murphrey, Todd Kramer, Bruce Lee and Michael Armstrong
