Evelyn Coffey West

Evelyn Coffey West was born on February 5, 1955, in Shreveport, Louisiana to James Aaron Coffey and Fleta Faye Coffey and passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Shreveport.

Evelyn worked for Doctors Hospital as a Physical Therapist Assistant for many years. She moved to Columbus, Ohio when she married her husband of 17 years, Randy Keith West.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy; brothers, Charles Coffey and James Daniel (Danny) Coffey; and sister, Alice Marie Gray. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Adam Clinton Bowden and Christopher Shane Bowden (Karen); sister, Betty “Jeanie” Coffey Floyd (Randy) of Colleyville, Texas; brother, Johnny Coffey (Cindy) of Homer, Louisiana; and her stepchildren, Bryan Copper and Nina Crase (Josh) of Columbus, Ohio, and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Columbus, Ohio next to her late husband, Randy Keith West. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Aaron Coffey.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for support of Ovarian Cancer Research.
