Evelyn Lorraine Wiggins

Shreveport, LA- A funeral service for Evelyn Lorraine Brumfield Wiggins, 79, will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Larry Tucker and Father Joseph Howard. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oakley Cemetery in Gilbert, Louisiana. Evelyn was born on April 16, 1936 to James and Josie Brumfield in Gilbert, Louisiana. She passed away on April 23, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Ray Wiggins, daughter, Katherine Dianna Burford, son-in-law, Jimmy Newton Averitte, and brother, Henry Brumfield. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Nell Averitte, Emma and husband Charles Maxwell, and Lori Ann and husband Robert Trevino, grandchildren, Angelia and husband Bo Griffith, James and wife Melonie Monk, Clint Stephenson and girlfriend Meagon Marsalies, Natasha Brown, Heather and husband Michael Hollingsworth, and Jarrod and wife Lauren Maxwell, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. The family wishes to acknowledge their grateful appreciation to Jackie Brazzel for her support and friendship. Honoring Evelyn as pallbearers are James Monk, Clint Stephenson, Jarrod Maxwell, Jonathon Monk, Trey Williams, Michael Hollingsworth and Bo Griffith.
