BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Evelyn Pearl Spiers, 77, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church in Athens, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Eddie Balance of New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
Evelyn was born July 20, 1937 in Ringgold, La to Daniel Price Culverhouse and Jessie Lee Bass Culverhouse and died January 28, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rev. John Alvin Williams; son, James Alan Williams and great grandchildren, Thomas "TJ", Elisabeth and Kamryn Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Marion Spiers; sons, Alvin Ray Williams, Sr. and wife, Sheila, Mike Williams and wife, Joy; daughters, Kathy Wallace and husband, Donald, Sara Waters and husband, Ed; stepsons, Gary Spiers, Jerry Spiers and Ricky Spiers; stepdaughter, Lindy Spiers; 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Her grandchildren will honor her by serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Gideon's International in memory of Evelyn.
