Faye Cordova Bates

Funeral services celebrating the life of Faye Cordova Bates, 83, of Logansport, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Tommy McMellon and Bro. Robert Davis. Burial will follow at Chreene Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the chapel.

Faye was born on July 7, 1940, to Jeff and Mary Johnson Alexander in Logansport, Louisiana and entered into rest on August 4, 2023, in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Preceding Faye in death are her parents; first husband, G.C. Cordova; her six siblings and her second husband, Herman Bates.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Dennis “Bubba” Cordova and wife Debbie, Kevin “Chop” Cordova, and Preston Bates; daughter, Karen Parker and husband, Johnny; grandchildren, J.C. Wheless and wife, Jennifer, Jesse Ney and husband, Luke, Tyler Parker and wife, Hannah, Jacy Keefer and husband Dustin, Josie Lindsey and husband, David, and Jeb Cordova; and a host of “Baw-Baw’s” great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Honoring Faye as pallbearers will be Jimmy Cordova, Nat Rodgers, Seth Sharrow, Ryan McMellon, Tommy Cunningham, and Caine Prudhome.
