Florence Silverblatt Selber died on April 23, 2018 after a brief illness. Flo, as she was fondly called, was a devoted, kind, compassionate and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend. Flo was born in Ruleville, Mississippi on March 14, 1922. She received her education there and attended LSU in Baton Rouge. She was a member of B\'nai Zion Congregation and Temple Emanu El of Houston.
Flo was preceded in death by her husband of almost 58 years, Irving and their son Chuck. Survivors include her children Jack and Phyllis Selber, Kay and Fred Zeidman; grandchildren Jill Beilinson, Sandy and Tim Sturm, Leslie and Andy Snelgrove, Mark Zeidman, Jay and Anat Zeidman and Nancy Zeidman. Great-grandchildren are Eli and Jacob Beilinson, Holly, Whitney and Timothy Sturm, Charlie and Sam Snelgrove and Ayelet Zeidman.
Memorial services will be held for Mrs. Selber at B\'Nai Zion Congregation, 245 Southfield Road Shreveport, LA at 11:00 AM Friday, April 27, 2018 and in Houston on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Temple Emanu El, 15009 Sunset Blvd. To watch the Shreveport service online, go to the \"Videos\" link at www.BnaiZionCongregation.org.
