Floyd Roland Dans, Sr.

MARTHAVILLE, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Floyd Dans, Sr., 84, will be at 11:00 AM Monday, October 16, 2017 at Jennings Chapel in Marthaville, LA with Reverend Butch Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. The family will receive friends at Jennings Chapel for visitation Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 5:00 P.M till 9:00 P.M. Floyd was born on May 24, 1933 to Bill and Elzadie Dans and entered into rest on October 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gary Wayne Dans, his brothers, Jessie, Thurman, Ronnie and Bill Dans, Jr.; and his sisters, Irma Rachel, and Linda Brewster. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bonnie Dans; his sons, Paul Dans and wife Sue of Baytown TX, Roland Dans and wife Jami of Marthaville, LA; his daughters, Teresa Keele of Ft. Wayne, IN, Lisa King and husband Steven of Waco, TX; grandchildren, Thomas Key, Robbie King, Sterling King, Jake King, Camron Dyes, Clayton Dyes, Olivia Dans, Zach Dans, Thad McCollom, and Levi Dans; great grandchildren, Kyndall Key and Austin Key; and his sister, Barbara Smith and husband Carl of Charleston, WV. Honoring the life of Floyd as pallbearers will be Thomas Key, Camron Dyes, Robbie King, Clayton Dyes, Steven King, and Jake King. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Dans, Zach Dans and Sterling King.
