Shreveport, La- Celebration of Life services for Elder Floyd William Eccles, 92, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Elder Steve Orian, Elder Ken Simpson and Elder David Farmer officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Park West, Shreveport, LA.
The family would like to welcome guests for visitation, Monday, April 29, 2015, from the hours of 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Rose-Neath Southside.
Elder Floyd was born May 5, 1922, in Hinckley, MN, to the late Josie Stotts Eccles and passed away April 25, 2015, in Shreveport, LA. He was a retired minster of The Seventh-day Adventist Church. Elder Floyd will be remembered for the kindness portrayed to everyone he came in contact with.
Elder Floyd was preceded in death by his mother, his beloved wife; Virginia Mae Haecke Eccles, one brother; Dick Shifflet and one sister; Donna Martenson.
Left to cherish the wonderful memories Elder Floyd leaves behind are his Best Friend; Jeane Morris, son; Terry Lee Eccles and wife Ginger, daughter; Becky Gifford and husband Glen, sister; Marilyn Kingen, four grandchildren; Barry and Brian Hodges, Zakkary Nelson and Gabriel Moxley, four great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.
Honoring Elder Floyd as pallbearers will be Barry Hodges, Brian Hodges, John Porteous, Jerry Wynne, Glen Gifford and Dwight Tietjen.
In honor of Elder Floyd, memorials may be made to the Worthy Students Fund of the Shreveport First Seventh-day Adventist Church.
