Floyd Lee Hodge

LANCASTER, CA- Floyd "Buddy" Lee Hodge, 69, was called home on Monday, July 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness in Lancaster, CA. He was born April, 11, 1945 to Theron and Mabel Hodge in Carthage, TX. He married the love of his life, Maudie Merle Ford Hodge, on July 11, 1977. Floyd was a loving father and husband who always stood up for his beliefs and loved reading, music and the outdoors. Floyd is survived by his wife Maudie; his daughter Nicole Hodge Huber and son-in-law James Christopher Huber; son James Dee Hodge and daughter-in-law Mary Jane Hodge; 8 grandchildren: Kaitlynn, James, Jazmyne, Ashley, Brett, Billy, Ellayna, and Taveon; his sister Jonice Hodge; his brother Donny Wayne Hodge, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Theron and Mabel Hodge; 1 sister, Shirley Spurgeon; and mother-in-law, Lee Virgie Ford. A celebration of Floyd's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Brother Jackie Meeks will be officiating services.
