SHREVEPORT, LA- A graveside Service celebrating the life of Floyd Russell Turley will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Park West; the officiant will be Rev. Murry Hodge.
Floyd is preceded in death by his son, Fred Ronnie Turley, and step-daughters, Brenda and Cristy Smith.
Those left to cherish Floyd's memories is he loving wife, Betty Turley; sons, Russell Turley and wife, Gracie, and Randy Turley; grandchildren, Rose, Aaron Taylor, Bluff, and Abram Turley; and six well-loved great grandchildren.
Floyd Russell Turley (90) was born on August 29, 1926 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 25, 2016. He was a hard worker at American Airlines where he kept the birds in the air as a Maintenance Supervisor. Once he retired he became the owner and operator of his own upholstery business. But retirement didn't dampen his love for travel and adventure; having already traversed the globe three times. Having the wanderlust spirit equal to majestic horses, he owned and trained race horses.
The family takes comfort that in 2016 Floyd Russell Turley went home for Christmas.
