Frances Atwood

MANSFIELD, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Frances Atwood, 88, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Logansport, LA with Reverend Austin Hand and Reverend Timothy Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 6PM till 8PM. Frances was born on September 28, 1929 to Preston and Manilla Hilton Grantham and entered into rest on October 16, 2017. Preceding Frances in death are her husband of 65 years, Edward Atwood; her parents; and her sisters, Doris Hooper and Mary Grantham. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Alan Atwood and wife Kim of Royse City, TX, Eddie Atwood and wife Christy of McKinney, TX, Denis Atwood and wife LeeAnn of Stonewall, LA; sisters, Avis English of Pasadena, TX, Shirley Santos and husband Vernon of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Edwin Grantham and wife Nan of Shreveport, LA, Joe Grantham and wife Betty of Arizona; six grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Megan, Taylor, Macy, and Parker; and five great grandchildren, Seth, Maggie, Milly, Robert, and Logan. Honoring the life of Frances as pallbearers will be Parker Atwood, Caleb Guin, Colton Guin, Lamar Atkins, Kyle Grinnell, and Barry Tindoll.
