Frances S Orea

Shreveport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Frances Selena Orea, age 97 will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, Bloomburg, TX with Rev. J. W. Sartor officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation Saturday, January 28^th from 10:00 a.m. until service at the church.

Mrs. Orea was born in Ashdown, AR on June 24, 1919 to Loise Roshong and Essie Suggs Roshong and passed away on January 23, 2017 at Willis-Knighton-North Medical Center. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, agent for New York Life Insurance Co., an avid lover of flowers and a seamstress.

Mrs. Orea was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Edward Duke and Bennie Orea; daughter, Joyce Moore; son, Jimmy Duke and granddaughter, Stacey Johnston. She is survived by her son, G.E. "Buddy" Duke and wife, Barbara of Atlanta, TX; daughters, Martha Curlee and husband, Jerry of Texarkana, TX, Linda Westmoreland and husband, Wayland of Red Water, TX and Sharon Oyler and husband, Dennis of Thousand Oaks, CA; brothers, Loman Roshong and wife, Carol, Leslie Roshong and wife Grethen and sister-in-law, Melba Roshong all of Leesville, LA. Mrs. Orea is also survived by grandchildren, Jeffery Moore, Steven Moore and wife, Nikki, Scott Moore and wife, Maye, Brian Moore and wife, Rita, David Curlee, Kelley Kingslin and husband, Scott, Tim Duke and wife Toni, Camille Caughern and husband, Dwight, Sidney A. Westmoreland, Kennya Bell and husband, Ronnie, Jason Westmoreland, Todd Westmoreland, Amy McConnel and husband, Joel, Brandie Carver, Angela Lowery and Richard Lowery and wife, Angel; 30 great grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Honoring Mrs. Orea as pallbearers will be Zachary Hon, Scott Moore, David Curlee, Steven Moore, Jeffery Moore Jason Westmoreland, Richard Lowery, Dwight Caughern, Haden Moore and Todd Westmoreland.
