Frances Aline Tynes

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Frances W. Tynes, 92, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Bass. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the funeral home. Frances was born on June 26, 1923 in Haynesville, LA to Halbert and Mattie Ware and passed away on January 20, 2016 after a brief illness. Frances was a very hard working woman and was proud to have worked many years for the Caddo Parish Clerk's Office. She loved painting, gardening, and sewing. She was very much an animal lover, especially her big white cat. Frances was a longtime, devoted member of Kingston Road Baptist Church. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was full of spunk. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Preceding Frances in death were her parents, her husband of 43 years, Lambert R. Tynes, and her brother, Holmes "Bo" K. Ware. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tom Tynes and wife, Linda of Shreveport, and Barry Tynes and wife, Renee` of Broussard, LA; grandchildren, Chris Tynes, Kathy Wideman, Mike Tynes, Steve Tynes, Josh Tynes, Shaun Tynes, Heather Tynes, 12 great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, and extended family. Honoring Frances as pallbearers will be Chris Tynes, Mike Tynes, Steve Tynes, Joshua Tynes, Shaun Tynes, Zach Tynes, Gabriel Tynes, Jadon Tynes, and Caleb Tynes. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
