Francis Charlene (Huff) Barr

Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Francis Charlene (Huff) Barr will be held on Friday,  November 11, 2022 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 9891 Texas Highway, Many, LA at 11:00 A.M. Her visitation will begin at 8:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at the chapel with interment to follow in the Bayou Scie Cemetery in Zwolle, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Ronnie Sandifer. Charlene was born on November 21, 1929 in Ida, Louisiana to Homer L. Huff and Lottie (Taylor) Huff and she entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 30, 2022 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Charlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family unconditionally and took care of them with great pride and she cherished their time together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer L. Huff and Lottie Autenreath; her husband of 72 years, Preston Barr; her daughter, Brenda Barr Nowlin; and her sister, Norma Jean Gibson. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Barr of Many, LA; her daughter, Candy Davis (Glenn) of Hideaway, TX, her daughter, Becky Campbell (Robert) of Social Circle, GA; and her brother, Charles Huff of Ida, LA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jennifer Laub, Matthew Nowlin, Jeremy Barr, Olivia Campbell, Sarah Covington, Rylan Campbell, David Davis, and Daniel Davis; and her great grandchildren: Michael Laub, Oskar Laub, Maddie Covington, and Andrew Nowlin. In addition, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
  
Serving her as pallbearers will be Jeremy Barr, Matthew Nowlin, Ricky Nowlin, David Davis, Daniel Davis, and Rylan Campbell. Her honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Davis, Robert Campbell, and Jack Crane.
