Franklin Daniel "Danny" Jacobs passed due to injuries from a tragic accident in Shreveport, LA at the age of 55.
Danny is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Mary Faye Jacobs; daughters, Alexis Jacobs, Crystal Jacobs, Amanda Colston Widener and husband, Jason, Heather Gibson, Ashley Gibson Hernandez and husband, Eric; sons, Daniel A. Jacobs, Duane Gibson, and Chad Gibson; brother, Wade Jacobs and wife, Crystal, Brad Jacobs and wife, Tammy, and David Jacobs; 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Danny is preceded in death by his mother, Geneva D. Jacobs, father, James F. Jacobs and a son, Joshua Jacobs.
Franklin D. Jacobs was born on April 29, 1960 in Shreveport to James and Geneva Jacobs. Danny graduated from Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, LA in 1979. He had several jobs after high school and eventually began a career with the City of Shreveport for 25 years and was known by fellow co-workers as "Blue". Danny was a hard worker and served his community well.
Danny was not only a hard worker but was passionate about his family. He was a great husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was a very humorous person who loved to have fun. He loved riding his bike and was riding it when his life was cut short due to an impaired driver. His life was cut too short and he will be missed by many.
Honoring Danny as pallbearers will be Jason Widener, Eric Hernandez, Chad Gibson, Johnathan Jacobs, Nathan Ezernack, and Shane Ezernack.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the First Responders and to the staff of University Health ICU for all of the care, love and support they gave to Danny and his family.
