Fraya Yates Saucier

Funeral services for Fraya Yates Saucier, 75, will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Bill Treadway.

Fraya was born on April 4, 1947 to Kirt Wiggill and Mary Thomas Yates in Ogden, Utah and passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Shreveport. She lost her five month battle with a brain tumor surrounded by her family.

Fraya was a resident of Shreveport and worked as a LPN for 20 years and retired from Willis-Knighton. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School from the class of 1965. Fraya loved reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and stepfather, Isaac N. Yates. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Molly C. Krause and husband, Al; son, Kirt Barnett and wife, Anna; grandchildren, Aidan Manno, Nolen Krause, Katie Barnett and Kennedy Barnett; sister, Vickie Yates Smith; and brother, Freddie Yates; Aunt Jessie Thomas and Uncle Alex Thomas; special niece, Kelly Yates; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and nurse Sarah, the sitters from Companion Care, Jamaal, Lula and Zelekia, Doctor Guthikanda and the staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont and The Carpenter House.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Gingerbread House.
