Fred A. Brown

Funeral services celebrating the life of Fred A. Brown, age 84 will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at the Vivian Church of the Nazarene, 1517 N. Pine Street, Vivian, LA with pastor Shane Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery, Ida, LA. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Fred was born in California, MO on June 24, 1940 to Frank Andrew Brown and Bessie Jewel Stiller Brown and went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 11, 2025 at his residence in Ida, LA. He was a faithful and active member of the Vivian Church of the Nazarene. Fred was a lineman for the Illinois Power Company where is retired in 1996.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Robert Stiller; 3 sisters, 5 brothers, both sets of his grandparents and one great granddaughter.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Alberta Brown of Mira, LA; three daughters, Jewel Grady (Jon Grady) of Forsyth IL, Teresa Johnson of McAllen, TX, and Brenda Lehman (John Lehman) of Decatur, IL; sisters, Wanda Morrow of Macon, IL and Eva Miller of Jefferson City, MO; brothers, Kenneth Brown of Russellville, MO and Bob Stiller of Jefferson City, MO. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Honoring Fred as pallbearers will be Landon Johnson, Logan Johnson, Brady Johnson, Carter Lehman, RJ Hubner, Max Hubner, Kaden Sheets and Daniel Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Remi Hubner, Ricky Byrum, Callan Campbell, Charlie Grady, Sam Grady, Patrick Grady, Davis Grady, Brock Grundy and Lincoln Gray.
