Gale Stansell

Funeral services for Gale Stansell, 70, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. John Harp officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the funeral home. Gale was born January 14, 1947 in Deport, TX to Ralph and Loyce Stansell and passed away on January 8, 2018 in Shreveport. Gale was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Stansell. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheri Stansell; sons, Tim Stansell and Chris Stansell and wife Mary Louise; stepson, Benji White and wife, Tami; grandchildren, Ethan Stansell, Ainsley Stansell, Alex Martin, Kristie Stansell, Christopher Stansell, Whitney Rich-Stansell, Codey White, and Caley White; great-grandson, Trey Giddens; and sister-in-law, Mary Sue Stansell. Honoring Gale as pallbearers will be Mike Essex, Ricky Pharr, Rick Free, and grandsons, Christopher Stansell, Alex Martin, Ethan Stansell, and Codey White. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes, Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, or to the Coach Colley Scholarship Fund, 1105 S. Williams, Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455.
