BENTON, LA - Services for Gary Dwight Morgan will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Roy Dale Strother, assisted by Rev. Marty Wright. Committal services will follow at the Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA with Army honors. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. Gary was born January 27, 1947 in Springhill, LA to James A. and Eva Rae Rhymes Morgan and passed away September 13, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Gary was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was self-employed. He is preceded in death by his parents. Gary is survived by his wife, Patricia Ortiz-Morgan of Benton, LA; sons, Mark Morgan and wife, Kristi, Michael Morgan and wife Ashley all of Sarepta, LA; daughter, Tracie Morgan Raab and husband, Micah of Benton, LA; sister, Connie Strother and husband, Roy Dale of Minden, LA; brother, Dalton Morgan and wife, Kathy of Sarepta, LA and six grandchildren, Bradley Morgan, Chad Morgan, Ashley Morgan, Morgan Andrews, Kalli Raab and Myles Raab. Honoring Gary as pallbearers will be, Bradley Morgan, Chad Morgan, David Felts, Todd Gish, Shelby Morgan and Tyler Self. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Taylor and Jimmy Juckett.
