Gary C. Riegel

SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Gary Clifford Riegel, 77, will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall St. Gary was born on January 11, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and passed away on May 27, 2018 in Shreveport. He was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church. Gary was the proud co-owner of a family business, Riegel-By-Products, that operated for over 50 years in Shreveport. He had a passion for flying as he was a personal pilot. He also was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed spending time camping with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Viola Riegel. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Martha Turbeville Riegel; sons, Clifford Scott Riegel and wife Amy, and Gary Stuart Riegel; daughter, Sharon Riegel Giddens; brother, Allen LeRoy Riegel and wife Mary Nell; grandchildren, Adam Scott Riegel, Joshua Andrew Riegel, Amber Leigh Giddens, and Anna Kate Giddens. Honoring Gary as pallbearers are Adam Scott Riegel, Joshua Andrew Riegel, Ronnie Cagle, Art Wallace, Jimmy Baker, and Johnny Whittington. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be his life-time friend Ron Hull. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 10800 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210.
