Gene "Jerry" Solice

 Gene “Jerry”  Solice passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 18, 2024, He was born on December 20, 1944, in Coushatta, Louisiana to the late Paul and Reba Solice. 

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time beginning at 12:00 p.m. on December 23, 2024, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St. Mansfield, Louisiana 71052. Officiating the service will be Bro. Paul “Buster” Solice.  Burial will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA 71103. 

Jerry was an avid fan of high school sports, especially football and baseball. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a skilled carpenter. Jerry also served in the United States Airforce.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bobbie McGinty Irvin, Rayline McGinty Vines, Juanita “Wanda” Davis, Sylvie Solice Bamburg, Dorothy Solice Boettier, Louis McGinty, Charles William “Bill” Solice, and Huey Pete Solice. 

He is survived by his wife, Regina Solice; sons, Joseph and Justin Fountain; daughters, Tina Solice and Cindy Fountain; sister, Ruth Solice Malone and husband Bryant; brother, Paul “Buster” Solice and wife Betty; along with 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

Honoring Jerry as pallbearers will be Joseph Fountain, Justin Fountain, Jeremy Cobb, Ricky Solice, Ed “Jr” Angel, and Payton Fountain.
