Genie S. Balvin

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Genie Suzanne Troquille Balvin will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Charles Glorioso. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a 6 p.m. vigil, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA. Genie was born February 19, 1981 in Bossier City and died May 24, 2015 in Shreveport. She was active with her church's missions in Mexico. Genie was a graduate of New York University with a BA Degree and employed as an underwriter in the insurance industry. She loved spoiling her niece and nephew, who always kept her laughing. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Willard Troquille, Sr. and Frank and Virginia Charchio. Genie is survived by her parents, Butch and Josie Troquille of Bossier City, LA; grandmother, Elane T. Tebow of Shreveport; sister, Maggie Cassidy of Shreveport; niece, Kennedie "Mini Me" Cassidy; nephew Aiden Cassidy and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Honoring Genie as pallbearers are Luke Charchio, Charles Churchill, Jonathan Machen, Matthew Maniscalco and Julian Balvin. Honorary pallbearer is Chuck Bennett.
