George Lester Huckabay

Coushatta, LA - Celebration of life and going home graveside service for George Huckabay, 82, will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA beginning at 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM prior to service time. Mr. Huckabay was born December 23, 1933, in Mansfield, LA, to William Osler and Zelma Lloyd Huckabay and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 30, 2016, in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness. Mr. Huckabay was retired from Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home as a District Manager. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Mark Huckabay and daughter, Kim Huckabay. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elaine Huckabay of Coushatta, LA; children, Christie Cooley of DeRidder, LA, Leslie Morgan and husband, Julius of DeRidder, LA, Karen Huckabay of North Carolina, Lori Furinism of Phoenix, AZ, Debra Adams of Mansfield, LA, Tommy Adams of Mansfield, LA; brothers, William "Bill" Huckabay and wife, Carolyn of Shreveport, LA and Don Huckabay and wife, Rita of Bossier City, LA; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thanks to Peggy Moore, the nurses at The Glen of the Pelican Wing and Dr. Robert Hernandez.
