Funeral services for George Earl Watson, 75, will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Pinecroft Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Reverend Cecil Marr. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Start Cemetery in Start, LA at 3:00 pm following services. George Earl Watson was born in Start, Louisiana on June 25, 1942 and entered into rest on March 10, 2018 at Aime Hospice after a long illness. George graduated from high school in 1960 from Baskin High School in Baskin, LA. He then later graduated from NLU in Monroe, LA in 1967. After graduation he was employed as a computer programmer at Texas Eastern and later Ark-La-Gas where he retired. George is proceeded in death by his parents, Bunny and Bertha Watson; sister, Edna Williams; brother, Bobby Watson and son, George Darren Watson. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary S. Watson; son, Brian Watson and wife Teri; four grandchildren; Courtney, Griffin, Blake and Alexis; brothers, Harold Watson and wife Carolyn; Richard "Sam" Watson; Fred Watson and wife Mary Pearl; sister, Bonnie Marcum and husband Carol. Honoring George as pallbearers will be David Watson, Randy Watson, Dennis Williams, Paul Wayne Williams, Griffin Jones and Douglas Watson.
