Gerald E. Jacobs

A Celebration of Life for Gerald Edward "Elfdang" Jacobs, 66, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Gerald was born December 1, 1951 in Richmond, CA to Jake and Doris Jacobs and passed away on April 2, 2018 in Shreveport. He was an avid fisherman and loved to play golf. He could always make others laugh and smile. He loved his family. He was very loving, kind, gentle, a good listener, and someone you could always go to for advice. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and aunt, Phyllis Horton. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Sheila Jacobs; children, Krista Jacobs Jackson and husband Dustin, Erich Jacobs, Christy Swinford, and Elizabeth Martin and husband Jared; grandchildren, Justin Burton, Caylop Patrick, Cameron Martin, Brodie Jacobs, and Carter Martin; sister, Martha Jacobs Charon and husband Richard; and brother, Robert Jacobs and wife Deborah. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be brother-in-law, James Richard McCartney, Jr.
