HALL SUMMIT, LA - Funeral services for Gilba R. ("Jack") Scott will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Beadle, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Benton and John Parker, Pastor of Faith Baptist Church of Ringgold. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hall Summit. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta.
"Ms. Jack", as she was affectionately known, was born July 31, 1922 in Red River Parish to Anglish and Mamie Robinson and died January 29, 2017 in Bossier City. She was of the Baptist faith and retired as a secretary from the Red River Parish School Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rex Nolan Scott; sister, Bernadine Carter and brother, Nathan Robinson.
"Ms. Jack" is survived by her son, Danny Rex Scott of Hall Summit; Janet Scott Burks-Hope and husband, Donnie of Benton; granddaughter, Stephanie Burks Agee and husband, Joe of Benton; great-granddaughter, Taylor Agee and a host of other relatives and friends.
Honoring "Ms. Jack" as pallbearers will be: Jimmy "Pete" Burks, Tom Wood, Robert Perkins, Donnie Hope, David Wimberly and Scott Page. Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenneth Blake, Billy Lee Davis, Joe Thornhill, Melvin Barberousse, John Womack, Mike Loftin and Bill Davis.
