Gilda Kay Doughty

Coushatta, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Gilda Kay Doughty, 67, will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery in Coushatta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Kay was born November 27, 1947 and passed away on January 12, 2015. Preceding Kay in death were her parents Johnnie B. and Gene Cason and brother Jessie B. Curry, Jr. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Tim Doughty and wife Kim, Micheal Doughty, and Mark Allan Doughty; sisters Frankie Davis and husband Johnny, Shelia Pearce and husband Carlton, Penny Johnston and husband Jamie, and Christy Johnson; grandchildren Cynthia Johnson, Emma Doughty, Garth Welborn, Micheal Doughty, II, Carrieta Doughty, Chelsey Doughty, two grandchildren that she raised as her own Gage Doughty and Kaylynn Doughty; one grandson on the way Branson Doughty; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. Those honoring the life of Kay as pallbearers will be Jason Davis, Stacy Layfield, Bubba Layfield, Anthony Irwin, Brian Maloch, Brent Cormier, and Mike Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be Micheal Doughty, Richard Johnson, and John Davis.
