Gladys Vivian Harvey

Funeral services for Gladys Vivian Harvey, 78, will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Daniel Wilson, with Ray Plummer and Eddie Plummer assisting.

Vivian was born on March 2, 1947, in Sheridan, Arkansas to James and Eunice Cotton and passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Vivian was a resident of Grand Cane, Louisiana where she worked as a Pipe Fitter in the Oil and Gas Industry. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, James and Eunice Cotton; husband, Frederick Lytal Harvey; son, Charles “Chuck” Frederick Harvey; sister, Wanda Fay Plummer; and brother, Robert Cotton. Left to cherish her memory is her son, James Marvin Harvey and wife, Kelly Harvey; daughter-in-law, Elaine Harvey-Parker and husband, Eric Parker; grandchildren, Michael Hobbs, Charitie Anderson, Allison Harvey, Cody Harvey, Jesse Harvey, Chase Hobbs, and Michaela Harvey; great-grandchildren, Zander Hobbs, Kasey Meshell, Tavin Anderson, Ava Lee, Madelynn Anderson, Kinslee Riley, Emily Harvey, Westyn Hobbs, Gary (Bubba) Riley, Chloe Anderson, Ja’Michael Harvey, Morgan Harvey, Laney Harvey; brother, Marvin Edwin Cotton; and sister, Margaret Dyres Jones.

Honoring Vivian as pallbearers will be Michael Hobbs, Cody Harvey, Jesse Harvey, Chase Hobbs, Austin Plummer, and Eric Parker. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Zander Hobbs and Tavin Anderson.

Vivian will be greatly missed, but the family will always love and cherish her memory.
