Glenda C. Ware Cottrell, age 64, was born April 11, 1959, in Homer, LA, to Samuel G. and Mary Catherine Gray Ware. She entered into rest on April 19, 2023, in Homer, LA. Glenda touched many lives as an LPN in the medical field. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings, Samuel Ware, Jr., Baby Ware, Richard Ware, and Randall Ware.

She is survived by Charles M. Cottrell; son, Charles Wesley Cottrell and wife Sara of Marshall, TX; daughter, Sondra Murphy of Dunn, NC: two sisters, Joy Lee of Bossier City, LA and Betty Lee of Homer, LA; brother, Sammy Ware of Dubach, LA; four grandchildren, Annabelle Cottrell, Marley Cottrell, Christopher Bridgers, and Dylan Murphy; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Glenda’s family would like to express their gratitude to Bristol Hospice, Dr. Scott Haynes, Dr. Mark Haynes, Claiborne Memorial Medical Center’s nurses for the care and compassion given her during her stay.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Lee, Matt Lee, Phillip Ware, Chris Calvin, Preston Lee, and Alex Modisette.

In lieu of flowers honoring Glenda, her family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A private graveside services was held for Glenda, at Ware’s Chapel Cemetery in Emerson, AR, on Monday, April 24, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., with Charles Wesley Cottrell, officiated.
