Glenn Thomas Battaglia

Glenn Thomas Battaglia, 75, of Many, Louisiana, passed away at his residence on February 22, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1949 in Franklin, Louisiana to Vincent Battaglia and Dorothy Malacott.

Glenn graduated from Lafayette High School and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana for over two years. He spent many years in industrial sales before following his passion for fishing by working as a guide on Toledo Bend Lake. Later, he transitioned to installing communication systems on land rigs. Upon retirement, he settled into his dream home on Toledo Bend, where he found great joy in life with his beloved wife, Donna Lovette Battaglia.

An avid outdoorsman, Glenn enjoyed working in his yard and tinkering with various projects. Cooking came naturally to him and many delighted in his Creole-style dishes. He had a deep love for animals and often fed the wildlife that wandered onto his property. His favorite pastime was bass fishing, frequently seen on the lake catching lunkers with his best fishing buddy, Freddie Grappe.

Glenn was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and ability to make friends wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Donna Lovette Battaglia; stepson, Kevin Patrick; brother, Kenny Battaglia and wife, Linda, of Lafayette, Louisiana; sister, Debra Schumacher and husband, Dr. Chris, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers at t2t.org or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org
