Gordon Edward Hinton

Graveside services will be conducted by Rose-Neath Funeral Home at Longstreet Cemetery in Longstreet, LA on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 am for Gordon Edward Hinton, age 90 of Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Dr. Chuck Pourciau, Senior Pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church, where Mr. Hinton was a member. Mr. Hinton entered into rest on March 24, 2017 at Live Oak Nursing Home. He was a native of Many, LA and lived in Shreveport for 69 years. He was a World War II veteran. He worked for Bell South Phone Company for several years and then for Universal Oil where he retired. Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene (Gene) Hinton and Ina Mae Polk Hinton; one brother, H.E. (Buddy) Hinton; two sisters, Bennie Warmack and Shirley Buchheit. He is survived by his wife, Emily Marie Hinton; one sister, Polly Ferguson of Pearl River, LA.; two nieces, Paula F. Townson and Sheri H. Barth; two nephews, Danny Warmack and Richard Warmack; five great nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews.
