A private family graveside service for Grace Hague, 91, will be Friday, April 22, 2016 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at The Oaks of Louisiana, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Andrew Comeaux.
Grace was born on January 22, 1925 to Thelma Britt Abney and James Abney in Shreveport, LA where she was a lifetime resident and passed away on April 20, 2016. She was reared by her step-father, Carl Gardner. Grace graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Broadmoor Methodist Church, where she was very active in the choir, as well as other functions. She did a lot of charity, and volunteer work, she crocheted baby blankets and booties for new mothers, and continued to do so even after she retired from being an accountant. She was a resident at the Oaks of Louisiana where she was very active as well. She still crocheted as much as she could, and helped many people all through her lifetime.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Grace in death are her parents, and her husband, Harold Hague. Leaving to cherish her memory are her cousin, Marilyn Marshall of Plano, TX; niece, Suzanne Hollingsworth and husband, Larry of Graham, TX; and Nephew, Chip Marshall of Houston, TX.
