Grace Lindsey

Grace Woodard Lindsey, 93, of Haughton, LA was born August 6, 1924 in Martin, LA. She passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017 after a short term illness with her family around her in Bossier City, LA. Services honoring Grace will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA. Officiating will be Brother Richard Hale. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Old Chapel Cemetery in Coushatta, LA. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Grace married John R. Lindsey on January 6, 1941. John R. passed October 8, 2006. They were blessed with 65 wonderful years, She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jimmy; daughter, Leigh, grand daughter-in-law, Renee; two grandchildren, Renee and Jana; her brothers and sisters and many others. Left to cherish her memories are a daughter, Grace Evelyn Currington and husband, Ken; two sons, Wayne Lindsey and wife, Stephanie and Denman Lindsey and wife, Mary; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Ima Jean Smith which she loved to the stars and back; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
