GREENWOOD, LA- Funeral services for Grady P. Barber, 91, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive. Officiating will be Rev. Jo Bob Alexander and Rev. Kenny Joyner. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Grady was born on September 20, 1922 in Five Points, AL and passed away on July 14, 2014 in Shreveport. He was a resident of Greenwood, LA and a member of First Baptist of Greenwood Church. He was a retired electrical inspection for the City of Shreveport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Grady proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by the love of his life for 68 years his wife, Wilda Cantrell Barber; son, Richard Grady Barber; daughter, Carol Ann Barber and husband, Tim Wiesmann; grandchildren, Byron Barber Mitchell and William Clark Mitchell, Jr. Rose-Neath Southside 2500 Southside Drive318-687-1256
