Guy Gaylon Kennemer

A Memorial Service for Guy Gaylon Kennemer, 74, will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the start of service. Officiating the service will be Bro. Phillip Kennemer.

Guy was born on October 6, 1950, in Enid, Oklahoma, to David and Freda Kennemer and passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at home in Keithville, Louisiana.

Guy was a resident of Keithville, Louisiana. He owned and operated his own business working on big trucks, tractors and heavy equipment. He could fabricate and weld just about anything. He was a very talented mechanic, fence builder and Jack of all trades. He was honest, dependable and stood behind his work. He mostly enjoyed his time with his family and friends on his 40 acres.

Guy is preceded in death by his parents, David and Freda Kennemer. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Chris Kennemer; daughter, Sarah Kennemer; sons, Jason Kennemer and Shawn Kennemer; and other extended family members and friends.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
