Guy Morgan, Jr.
GREENWOOD, LA: A graveside service will be held for Mr. Guy Morgan, Jr., age 68, at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, LA, on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John McClelland, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9-10:30 a.m., prior to the graveside.
Guy was born November 15, 1952, in Natchez, MS, to Margie L. Shelly Morgan and Oral Guy Morgan, Sr. He entered into rest on Monday, May 17, 2021, at his home in Greenwood, LA. Guy served his country during the Vietnam War on an aircraft carrier in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the oilfield industry after 40 years, and then opened his own business, Skeeter Septic Service. Guy was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan never to miss a game in person or on TV.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Adam Morgan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Jenny Garcia Morgan; two daughters, Amanda Morgan and Dallas Morgan, both of Tacoma, WA; a step-daughter, Leslie Brookshire and husband J.W. of Shreveport, LA; three sisters, Janice Ozgun of Corpus Christi, TX; Donna Morgan of Pittsburg, TX, and Cindy Morgan of El Paso, TX; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Clark Crellin, Lovic Marsalis, Craig Lowe, and Ronnie Smith.
In lieu of flowers honoring Guy, his family suggests memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church of Homer.
