SHREVEPORT, LA - Horace Glenn Lewis, 90, died peacefully January 10, 2016 in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. in Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Nelson.
Mr. Lewis was a lifelong member of First Church of God and Community Hope Church of God. He served in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during WWII and was a retired House Captain for the Shreveport Fire Department after 26 years of service.
Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lewis. He is survived by two daughters, Connie Branton, Vicki Tuminello and husband, Ron, son, Terry Lewis; grandchildren, Kerry, Kelly, Jeremy, Sara, Erin, Ross and Adam; great-grandchildren, Molly, Katie, Andrew, Peyton, Christian, Caitlyn and McKenzie; niece, Debbie Swain.
Honoring Mr. Lewis as pallbearers will be Jeremy Lewis, Ross Tuminello, Scott Faler, Gary Branton, Marlon Monzingo, Chuck Lizyness, and Hubert Causey.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Richard Haynie and Dr. Richard Kamm, Jr., the nurses and staff at WKP-5E, especially Kaitlin, Suzanne, Tina, Kelly, Teri, and Glenda for their excellent care.
Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Mr. Lewis.
