Harold Boe Free

A memorial service for Harold Boe Free, 72, will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Officiating the service will be Brother Mark Beville.

Boe was born on June 1, 1951 to Larry and Marie Free in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He was a gifted, avid guitarist and all-around inspiring musician.  He played the guitar at various church services, while enjoying the free coffee they served.  Boe was an accomplished mechanic and loved to restore vintage cars.  He is remembered by everyone as having many valuable talents, especially his sense of humor.

Boe was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen Moore and Jean Good; brother, Glen Free and beloved wife and mother of his children, Molly Brown.  He is survived by his sister, Mary Free Nelson; sons, Jeff   Free and wife, Lindsey and Josh Free and wife, Reagan; grandchildren, Jonathan, Austin, Gavin, Mitchell, Ava and Jacob Free; beloved friend, Faye Free Fair and stepson, Robert Jesse Walker; lifelong friends, Reece Lewing and Don Hemperley; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and The Doris Street Boys.
