Harold James Horne, Sr.

BENTON, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Harold James Horne, Sr., 82, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow immediately after at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be a dear family friend, Doug Bernard. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16^th at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Harold was born on September 23, 1933 in Richland, NC to Hubert Lester and Ruby Scott Horne and passed away on June 14, 2016. Harold was a truck driver for over 46 years and retired from Red River International Trucking. Among his many hobbies he had a passion for gardening, fishing and hunting, but his greatest was his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Preceding Harold in death are his son Lester Horne, parents, two sisters and two brothers. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Sadie Bynog Horne; sons, Harold "Jimmy" Horne, Jr. and wife, Mira, and Ronnie Horne; daughter, Terri Horne; three grandsons, six granddaughters, and three great-great granddaughters; brother, Chan Horne, Sr. and wife, Peggy, and Mary Jones, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Honoring Harold as pallbearers will be Chan Horne, Jr., Frank Guerra, Mex Guerra, and Harley Guerra.
