Harold L. McClusky

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Harold L. McClusky, 85, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November, 29, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport. Interment will follow at Forest Park East, St. Vincent. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. McClusky was born on December 9, 1928 to Sam and Eunice McClusky in Shreveport and passed away peacefully at his home on November 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Judy Brown and son-in-law, Jay Johnson. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Jo McClusky; daughter, Kelly A. Johnson; granddaughter, Kristen N. Cochran and her husband, Jason; grandson, Stephen B. Thompson, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Hailey Jo Cochran; great-grandson, Stephen B. "Trey" Thompson III; son-in-law, Edward L. Brown and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. McClusky was a Geologist in the Oil and Gas Industry for over 50 years before retiring. He had a love of the outdoors, such as golf, baseball, tennis, weight lifting and his all-time favorite was flying. He learned to fly at Barksdale Air Force Base by his brother-in-law, Russ. Writing was a very important part of his life. Poetry was his favorite. He even had several poems published. But the most important thing to him was his family and he will be missed by each and every one of them.
