Harriett Funk

A Memorial Service for Harriett Robbs Funk will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Bloom at Bossier, 4828 Medical Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana, at 3:00 p.m.

Harriett Robbs Funk was born on August 29, 1921, in Prescott, Arkansas to Harry and Pearl Helton and passed away at 102 years of age on Sunday, November 5, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Harriett was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a savings and loan banker at El Paso Federal Credit Union for many years. She was active in the community and enjoyed meeting new people. She loved painting China and was very good at it. She was especially fond of painting pink roses. She enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting, doing puzzles and word finds. She cared deeply for her friends and them for her.  She was a wonderful and supportive mother and grandmother who loved her family fiercely. She will be greatly missed by them all.

Harriett was preceded by death by her husbands, Walter Scott Robbs and Howard Funk and son, Walter Scott Robbs Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Katherine R. Cole and husband, B.G. Peyton Cole Jr.; grandchildren, Suzy Cole Miller and husband, Steve, Col. George Peyton and wife, Becky, Jennifer Robbs and husband, Jose Caballero and Daniel Robbs and wife, Kerianna and five great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at the Bloom in Bossier City, for their compassion, love, and care during her time with them.
