Keithville, LA- Celebration of Life service for Mr. Harry Sherman Strain, Jr., 70, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014, with Bro. Ted Harden and Bro. Dick Hainey officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, LA. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Monday, November 3, 2014, from the hours of 5-8 PM at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Harry was born August 9, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harry Sherman Sr. and Marion Rose Cole Strain and was called home October 31, 2014. Harry was an avid bowler always enjoying the fellowship with his fellow bowlers. He was a member of the N.W. LA Senior Olympic Games and served on the Steering Committee. Harry worked for Western Electric, AT&T and retired with Lucent Technologies following 35 years of dedicated services. He enjoyed pleasing Mrs. Geneva with trips to the lake for fishing. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Ann Cook and Susanne Turner and a son-in-law, Tommy Atchley, Jr. Left to cherish the beautiful memories that Harry leaves behind will be his beloved wife of 29 years, Geveva Smiley Strain; four daughters, Patty Strain, Sherma Atchley, Christy Strain and Lisa Strain; mother of his children, Betty Kay Strain; three grandchildren, Tanna Dotson and husband (Andrew), Heather Atchley, Bret Michael Strain; two great-grandchildren, Allie and Addison Dotson along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Honor of Mr. Harry Strain, Jr.   Rose-Neath Southside 2500 Southside Drive 318-687-1256
