Hazel Ball

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Ball, 94, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Brother Tom Tompkins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Hazel was born July 2, 1924 in Sibley, LA to Wylie Lloyd and Lillie Mae Ratcliffe and went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2018. She was a devout Christian and prayer warrior. Hazel was a florist, realtor, secretary, and business owner. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Edward Ball; her twin brother, Hayward Ratcliffe; brothers, James Ratcliffe, John Ratcliffe; and her sister, Edna Mae Hutchinson. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lance Edward Ball; daughter, Anna Jean Riley; grandchildren, Christopher, Dixie, Haley, and Keith; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Live Oak Retirement Community for their excellent care and the peace of mind her family had knowing she was well cared for over the past several years.
