Services for Hazel Campisi, 91, of Shreveport will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Officiat ing will be Father Pike Thomas. Burial will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton prior to a Mass of Christian Burial.
Hazel was a native of Boyce, LA and a resident of Shreve port, LA for 91 years. She was a devout catholic and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and then St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. She was a graduate of Fair Park High school and she graduated from Northwestern College.
She worked for the United States Air Force Inspector General as a Clerk-Stenographer until she met the love of her life, Frank Campisi. She and her husband were the founders of Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning where she worked as the office man ager. She was also an active member of St. Joseph's ladies circle and St. Anns ladies circle at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Campisi, of 51 years, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Cockerham, her siblings, Ruth Elaine Ussery, Billie Langston, Mavis Ford, and A.W. Cockerham, Jr and her great-grandson, Mason Stehr.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbi Miciotto and her husband, Joseph, and Janet Campisi; sons, David Campisi, Jon Campisi and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Leah Renfro and husband Mark, Mark Miciotto and wife Natalie, Julia, Sofia, Ethan, E.J., and Raegan Campisi; great-grandchildren, Gracen Stehr and Caroline Miciotto; daughter-in-law, Lynn Salassi, as well as numer ous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Barnard, John Giglio, Paul Harlan, Mark Miciotto, Fred Perritt, and Ryan Stehr.
The family would like to express their sincere apprecia tion to the staff of Montclair Assistant Living Facility for their compassionate and dedicated care. Also, Southern Care Hospice nurses, and devoted caregivers, Elcena Pegues, Patrinia Mitch ell, Kimberly Bradley, Salley Walpool, Willie Mae Jones, Tameka Tucker, Raven Hughes, and Kafaedra Young.
The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, or to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
