Vivian, LA - Graveside services for Hazel O. Smith, age 88 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery, Ida, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, August 9^th from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Smith was born on November 27, 1928 in Hosston, LA to Frank Sessum and Fannie Allen Sesuum and passed away on August 4, 2017 at Vivian Healthcare after an extended illness. She was a retired grocery clerk for Piggly Wiggly and Brookshires. Mrs. Smith was a member of Caddo Prairie Baptist Church in Ida, LA.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in by parents, Frank and Fannie Sessum; husband, Lonnie Smith; sons, Robert Bobby Smith and Donnie Lee Smith; sisters, Juanita Provest and Ann Cord and grandchildren, Connie Smith, Robert Ethridge and Paige Smith. She is survived by her son, Doyle Smith and wife, Cindy of Blanchard, LA; daughters, Katie Smith of Blanchard, LA and Jo Ann Ethridge of Doddridge, AR and brother, Donald Sessum of Etoile, TX. Mrs. Smith is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Honoring Mrs. Smith as pallbearers will be Bubba Smith, David Lee Sessum, James Sessum, Jackie Dale Smith, Joe Smith and Buddy Cord.
