Visitation for Helen M. Foster, 94, will be held at 10:00-11:30am, Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 12:00pm at Forrest Park West. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Williams of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Mrs. Foster died Tuesday, December 30 2014 at 9:30 am at the age of 94 after succumbing to the affects of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Haynesville, LA and was a resident of Shreveport, LA most of her life. Mrs. Foster was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and Pathfinders Sunday School Class, Senior Adult Choir, graduate of Haynesville High school, Attended Normal College, graduated from Tri-State Hospital with an RN degree, active member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees, after retiring from Barksdale AFB as an RN in the OBGYN clinic for many years. She was a wonderful, Godly mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always had a smile on her face. Preceding her in death: her husband Plez W. Foster; parents Collins and Minnie McMichael; brother, Everett McMichael, of Breaux Bridge, LA. She is survived by her loving daughters Sandra Foster Williford, husband Buddy, of Shreveport, and Susan Foster McCain, husband Keith (deceased) of Alexandria, LA; grandson Bryan Foster Williford, Dallas, TX; granddaughter Gwen White, husband Jody of Leesville, LA; great granddaughters Amanda Berg, husband James of Bossier City, and Amber Copeland, of Leesville, LA; sister-in-law Dorothy McMichael, of Breaux Bridge; brother, David McMichael, wife Sandy, of Waco, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Special thanks to the staff of The Cottages at The Glenn and The Glenn retirement system for the compassionate care provided Mrs. Foster during her years as a resident there. The family requests that memorials may be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church, The Glenn Retirement System. We may have said goodbye, but it\'s not forever.
