Helen Marie Morrison

STONEWALL, LA - A Memorial service for Helen Marie Wallace Morrison, 77, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at First Southern Methodist Church, in Stonewall, LA. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Reverend McKee Williams. Helen was born on October 6, 1937 in Goldonna, LA to Joe D. and Novella Pardue Wallace and passed away on August 28, 2015. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sheree L. Burns; granddaughter, Melissa Anne Risinger; sisters, Louise Jackson and Pauline Bray. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Don R. Morrison; son, Robert L. Land, Jr. and his wife, Beverly; daughter, Donna R. Land; grandchildren, Richard Shane Risinger, Gary Land, Christina Land Hamlett, and Anne-Marie Burns. Helen loved doing so many things in life, but the ones she enjoyed and treasured the most was sewing, fishing, growing fig trees and giving them as gifts. Helen is well known for her fig preserves and what a great cook she was. Helen was a member of the Shreveport Orchid Society and an avid photographer. She had many talents and will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. The family would like to say a special thanks to Susan Stewart for the tremendous help she has been to Helen and to St. Joseph Hospice for all the care, love and support they gave.
